Breckenridge Distillery’s “WANTED: Gold Rush Bartender Competition” Rules and Regulations

1. COMPETITION OVERVIEW Breckenridge Distillery is hosting the Gold Rush cocktail competition in an effort to increase awareness of summer bourbon cocktails, to improve consumer appreciation for Breckenridge Blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and to raise money for Piggy Bank, a charity chosen by Breckenridge Distillery. The Competition is sponsored by Breckenridge Distillery. with local supporters in each Contest State (“Sponsors”). The Competition is a city-wide Bartender competition in Denver/Boulder, Chicago, Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio) and New York. Contestants must register online (“Contestants”) as outlined in Breckenridge Distillery’s rules and guidelines (“Rules”). Contestants will be judged and awards will be assigned as outlined in Rules. A portion of sales proceeds from this competition is donated directly to Piggy Bank.

2. ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (“Registration”:) Contestants are required to register and submit an entry by the entry deadline for each of the locations as outlined in the Contest States specific appendix (“Contest States”).

2.1 CONTESTANT ENTRY No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. To register for the Competition, visit [www.breckenridgedistillery.com/GoldRush] and enter the required information including Contest State, first and last name, city of residence, bar of employment, email address, telephone number and cocktail recipe as outlined below (each a “Recipe” and collectively, the “Recipes”). Once you have completed all of the steps above and submitted your information, you will be registered for the Competition (each entry referred to as an “Entry” and collectively as “Entries”). You will receive an email confirmation to ensure that your recipe has been submitted. Should you not receive an email confirmation within 48 hours of submission, please contact a Sponsor representative. Contestant registration will open on the Registration Date and close on the Deadline Date of each round at Midnight (local time).

2.2 CONTESTANT REQUIREMENTS:
(i) Competitors must be employed at an establishment with a bar that serves spirits.
(ii) Competitors must be at least 21 years of age.
(iii) The number of entries from each establishment is dependent on state:
a. Denver/Boulder: Open Competition. One entry per establishment. Entry can be a collaborative effort among bartenders/managers/employees.
b. Chicago: Heritage Wine Cellars will select participating establishments. Up to four (4) entries can come from one establishment.
c. Texas: Open competition. Up to four (4) entries from one establishment.
d. New York: Craveable Hospitality Group will select participating establishments. Up to four (4) entries per establishment.

2.3 RECIPE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Recipes must comply with the following Recipe submission guidelines (the “Recipe Submission Guidelines”):

(iv) The cocktail entry (“Entry”) must feature Breckenridge Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys as the primary ingredient (minimum 1 oz., maximum 2 oz.).
(v) The Entry can contain a maximum of eight ingredients, including Breckenridge Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys.
(vi) No homemade ingredients are allowed. Other spirits or beverages may be used as secondary (or complimentary) ingredients.
(vii) Each Entry must be featured on the cocktail menu of the Competitors’ employer and remain on the menu through the duration of the Competition.
(viii) All entries must be submitted on the online Official Entry Form (breckenridgedistillery.com/goldrush) along with two digital photos (one drink photo, one Bartender photo) by the deadline for each state.
(ix) One Entry per Competitor.
(x) Cocktail Submissions must not:
a. Have been published or publicized to the best of the Contestant’s knowledge (i.e., Recipe must not appear in major cookbooks, in magazines etc.)
b. Include an inappropriate name for the drink (for example, rude, lurid, sexual words or words associated with narcotics or motor vehicles) as determined by the Sponsor and/or the Ambassadors (as defined below), in their sole discretion
c. Violate the rights of any other parties, including without limitation, any intellectual property, copyright, trade secret or other proprietary right of any third parties
d. Be offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, libelous, reflect poorly on Competition Entities, or be inappropriate for use in advertising or for promotional publicity purposes as determined by the Sponsor and/or the Ambassadors in their sole discretion
e. Violate the rights of any other parties, including without limitation any intellectual property, copyright, trade secret or other proprietary right of any third parties.

2.4 POS FOR ENTRY will be provided to participating establishments as they enter the competition. Point of Sale provided based on distributor availability, and will be limited to cocktail coasters, “Wanted” Posters with bartender photos, Breckenridge Distillery bar keys, Breckenridge Distillery enamel lined tin mugs, “Lantern” table menu holder (Breckenridge Distillery can print menu with recipe or establishment can print menu), and Breckenridge Distillery back-bar water towers with glass container.

3. JUDGING
There will be one winner from each city. Judging with be entirely based on popular vote. During the rounds of the Competition, each Contestant’s Cocktail Entry will be evaluated and voted for on [breckenridgedistillery.com/goldRush] by patrons of the establishment. In-house promotion of Cocktail Entry is invited, and encouraged. Online voting system will be available from 12am on the day following the deadline for cocktail entries (deadline dependent on State). Voters must provide a valid email to vote for a cocktail, one vote per email. Duration of voting is dependent on state:

Texas: August 1, 2016 – November 8, 2016
Denver/Boulder, CO: August 1, 2016 – November 20, 2016
Chicago, IL: August 1, 2016 – November 8, 2016
New York City, NY: August 1, 2016 – November 8, 2016

4. AWARD DESCRIPTIONS Judges and Finalist Judging Panel will assign awards (“Awards”) as outlined in the Contest State Addendum. Awards may include an educational trip to Breckenridge, Colorado for the purpose of learning how Breckenridge Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys is produced (“Breckenridge Distillery Educational Experience”).

Award for Texas winner is provided by Piggy Bank, and includes:
(i) Round trip transportation (economy class) to Breckenridge
(ii) Airport ground transfers to/from the accommodation in Breckenridge, Colorado
(iii) Accommodation while in Breckenridge, Colorado for 3 nights, 4 days.
(iv) VIP Distillery tour and educational seminar with distillers of Breckenridge Distillery
(v) VIP dining experience at Breckenridge

Award for Chicago winner includes:
(vi) Round trip transportation (economy class) to Breckenridge
(vii) Airport ground transfers to/from the accommodation in Breckenridge, Colorado
(viii) Accommodation while in Breckenridge, Colorado for 3 nights, 4 days.
(ix) VIP Distillery tour and seminar with distillers of Breckenridge Distillery
(x) VIP dining experience at Breckenridge Distillery’s newly built restaurant
(xi) Daily meals allowance.

Award for Denver/Boulder winner includes:
(i) Lodging in Breckenridge, Colorado
(ii) VIP Dining experience at Breckenridge Distillery’s newly built restaurant
(iii) Private barrel tastings with Breckenridge Distillery’s distillers
(iv) Tickets to a local spirits event (i.e. Still on the Hill)
(v) Daily meals allowance

Award for New York winner includes:
(vi) Round trip transportation (economy class) to Breckenridge
(vii) Airport ground transfers to/from the accommodation in Breckenridge, Colorado
(viii) Accommodation while in Breckenridge, Colorado for 3 nights, 4 days.
(ix) VIP Distillery tour and seminar with distillers of Breckenridge Distillery
(x) VIP dining experience at Breckenridge Distillery’s newly built restaurant
(xi) Daily meals allowance.

Breckenridge Distillery Educational Experience winners must be available to travel to Breckenridge within the dates selected by the Sponsor. The sponsor will determine airline used for travel based on the date/time of trip and airline availability. (ii) Other Awards may be offered in lieu of Breckenridge Distillery Educational Experience where required by Federal, State or Local regulation.

4.1 GENERAL AWARD TERMS Award winners are not entitled to any monetary difference between actual Award value and stated approximate Award value, if any, nor monetary compensation in exchange for Award participation. Awards cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash or otherwise. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, at any time to substitute any Award (or component thereof) with another prize (or component) of equal or greater monetary value. Sponsor makes no representations or warranties with respect to any Award. All other expenses not specifically provided for in the Competition Terms and Conditions as being included in the Award will be the full responsibility of the Competition winner including, without limitation, optional seat selection fees, additional checked luggage fees, entertainment costs, additional meals and beverages, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, taxes, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature, together with any applicable overnight layover. All travel dates, accommodation on board aircraft and hotel accommodation are subject to space availability and subject to change without notice or compensation. Award winner is solely responsible for all costs incurred for transportation to and from the Departure Airport. It is also Award winner’s responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documentation including valid identification prior to ticketing and to comply with any TSA requirements. Sponsor is not responsible if winner is denied access to the aircraft or entry/re-entry into destination. If the winner chooses to upgrade their travel package, extend the length of their trip, or stop along the way this will be at the winner’s own expense.
